Letters From The Heart: Beckett's Story

What are the lessons you've learned that empowered you to love yourself?

This has taken years and a lot of hard work. The reason being that I was in an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship. He had convinced me that I was absolutely worthless, and it's taken the better part of a decade to not hear his voice in my head as my own. Reading "You Can Heal Your Life" was a good start. Starting a regular meditation practice was another step. Doing inner healing and positive affirmations have helped skyrocket my confidence over the last year and helped me realize how valuable I am and to really, truly love myself.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Some people reveal their true colors right away, but with others, it comes out over time. In these situations, listen to your gut, and don't shrug off red flags. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't, so take the hint and walk away.

If today was your last day, what is that one thing you would want every woman to know and understand?

You are more beautiful, powerful, and valuable than you realize. Now, some I know would say, "I know," but I would repeat: You are MORE beautiful, MORE powerful, and MORE valuable than YOU realize - so however much you value yourself, multiply it by 1,000 and you might get closer to the real number. Don't let society make you feel like you're worth any less.
