Spring/Summer Color Trends

This season is all about colour, and what better way to kick start it than with inspirational hues and full-on optimism. Designers are reinventing our interest for brighter tones and giving us major excitement for the upcoming season. Say goodbye to the darker hues and hello to an exciting array of pastel tones. From shades of sunshine yellow to pastel greens, orange and deep blue – the rainbow is the limit, and we are loving it.

If you find yourself hesitant to wear brighter tones, take this as your beginning step to a bigger and brighter wardrobe. You don't need to make a drastic change. It's all about taking baby steps and incorporating pieces of colour through your accessories or tops – these are the easiest steps to slowly easing into the brighter colour trends. Challenge yourself by including a touch of colour into your look once a week, and you will slowly find yourself naturally stepping outside of your comfort zone. Spring 2021, we are so ready for you. Keep scrolling to check out the biggest colour trends this season has to offer.

  1. Sunshine Yellow                 Sunshine Yellow

Shades of yellow were brightening up the runway this S/S21, and not only that but our moods as well. From softer pastel tones to bolder hues - you will find a colour for every occasion.

  1. Tennis Green                            Tennis Green

Ladies, brace yourself because one colour you won't get enough of is green. You will find an array of shades, from neon to lime green and a warm pastel tone. Whether throwing on a bold green jacket with an all-neutral look or adding a touch of green with your accessories, you will find the many green shades as an easy transition into the warmer seasons.

  1. Cantaloupe                               Cantaloupe

Now I know what you’re thinking, no-no and another no, but let's give the cantaloupe/orange shade a try. I know it may seem bold and not your go-to shade, but this vibrant orange is our reminder not to shy away from bold colours and embrace these richer tones. Whether you are styling a knitted dress or an easy summer dress – this shade will be your go-to in no time.

  1. Shades of Pink                        Shades of Pink

If you're not someone who naturally gravitates toward a pink, have no fear because designers will give you a reason to fall in love with this shade. Choose from soft pinks to a bubble gum hue.

  1. Bold Whites                               Bold Whites

Diving into this season's biggest pastel tones is a must, but make sure to leave room for your clean and classic whites. Whether styling a complete look from head-to-toe or adding a touch of white to any look – we all know you can never go wrong with white. It's a perfect combination between sleek and chic.

Now, mainstream fashion may tell us one thing but let this be your reminder to toss those thoughts out and allow yourself to dive into all things colour this season. It may seem like Blacks, and all those darker tones are a safer choice - which isn't entirely wrong, but it shouldn't stop you from trying new things and incorporating a little colour into your wardrobe. It comes down to finding balance and mixing in colours with your neutral tones. After finding the ultimate cut, style and fit for your frame – everything else will fall into place.

Have fun with this season's hottest colour trends. If you find yourself struggling to incorporate colour into your everyday style, go for a monochromatic look. It is the easiest way to create a long silhouette for your body. So, do yourself a favour and add some colour into your life – trust us, you won't regret it.
